Ninety-Second Annual Dinner
Please join us on Saturday, April 30th
2011 for the Ninety-Second Annual Dinner of the Officers of the First Division
at the Hilton Hotel,
The dinner is an annual event for Commissioned and Warrant Officers who were assigned or attached to the First Infantry Division during combat operations and those officers currently serving with the Big Red One. We will also have a separate dinner in the hotel for spouses, family members and friends of veteran officers (see enclosed insert). Spouses, family members, and friends are welcome to attend the cocktail reception prior to the dinner and to join the veteran officers in the unit CPs at any time throughout the weekend.
Requests to invite guests that are not First Division combat veterans must be approved in advance by majority vote of the Dinner Committee. Members should send guest requests to their regimental representative at least 30 days in advance of the dinner. Unit representatives will forward the request to the Dinner Committee Secretary who will bring the request to the committee for vote. Approval will not be official until the Dinner Committee Chairman certifies the results of the committee's vote.
Danger Forward will be located in the Hospitality Suite on the 29th floor and Regimental CPs will be located on floors throughout the hotel. Please check in upon arrival for specific CP locations.

Dinner Committee Meeting 1000 hours Saturday (location TBP in the lobby and on hotel TV)
Cocktail Reception 1800 hours Saturday
Officers Dinner 1900 hours Saturday
Please note that expenses for CP facilities, alcohol, snacks, etc. are paid only through member donations so look for the donation plate in the bar area of your CP and please contribute generously!
We have a block of rooms reserved for the event until 8 April 2011 at a discount rate of $125.00 plus tax. The rate includes parking and is valid from 28 April to 2 May. Reservations may be cancelled at no charge until 24 hours prior to start of the reservation.
The cost of the dinner is $55 which only covers meal
costs so we depend on your generous contributions to help defray the costs of
printing, mailing, postage, band transportation and meals, etc. Please
mail checks, payable to Officers of the First Division,
Active duty: dress or mess blues. Veteran officers: dinner jacket, cocktail dress, blazer, or dark business suit.
In order to reduce mailing and printing costs, the dinner invitation will be sent via email to known internet users. If you received a hard copy of the invitation via the U.S. Mail and have an email address, please provide your address by registering at www.dangerforward.org. If you do not have an e-mail address, please return the envelope with a note telling us to continue sending your invitation via U.S. Mail.
If you are aware of officers not receiving the announcements, please send us their name, address and/or e-mail address. For officers on active duty we suggest you provide a permanent mailing address along with your email address. and adjourn to our own dinner at seven. Spouses and guests are welcome in all unit CPs
on Friday evening and all day Saturday. Please join us for the pleasure of seeing old friends and meeting new
ones from all around the country and the world. This is a unique group so please come be a part of it. We look forward to welcoming you.

Note a change in procedure this year: Instead of mailing a separate check to Anne Pendleton, you may write a
single check for both the Officers' and Spouses' dinners and place it in the
remittance envelope.
